“I Only Remember Him As A Dead Goat’ – Former Methodist Church Bishop To Mahama
A former Methodist Bishop for Obuasi, Bishop Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu has stated that he only remembers former president John Dramani Mahama as being the ‘dead goat president’.
The former Bishop stated that it will be appropriate for the former president to stay clear off politics after saying another term of office for Mahama will do nothing to the status of the the Ghanaian people.
Speaking on the legacy of the former president on Neat Fm’s morning show, ‘Ghana Montie’, Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu said “I only remember him (John Mahama) as a dead goat. This is someone who wants to be president again so he can review the Free SHS policy? Are we serious as a nation?”
The ‘dead goat syndrome’ was a comment passed by the former president in 2015 while speaking to members of the Ghanaian community in Botswana. This was after a warning to not be threatened by strikes from the labour force towards the approach of the 2016 general elections.
