I once sold leaves for a living – Joe Mettle

Gospel singer-songwriter, Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle, popularly known as Joe Mettle has disclosed that he once had to sell leaves used in the packaging of food, also known as ‘Ahaban’ to earn a living.

Detailing his life journey on THE AMCLUB on MX24 TV, he revealed that his family was financially constrained and he had to support his other in her leaf business.

According to the 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, he sold the leaves before he went to school and when he returned from school.

He later had to help his mum with the sale of food to help provide for the family.

Joe Mettle said these were trying times but his faith and hope in God kept him going.
