“Huge Potholes On Highway Causing Regular Accidents” – Residents, Drivers And Hawkers Bemoan
Drivers and hawkers living around Akotsi, a community on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway are calling on authorities to fix their roads as the large potholes on the stretch do not only make the road unmotorable but result in frequent road accidents.
In the words of the hawkers, residents and drivers on the road, cars somersaulting on that stretch has almost a norm as the bad nature of the road makes it possible.
Also according to them, the deteriorating nature of that part of the highway causes as many as about 20 car tyres damages, and about 20 accidents are recorded every day on the stretch.
The drivers, hawkers and residents are therefore calling on the government to come to their aid, and fix the road to prevent any more accidents.
