The Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service have received the first consignment of some childhood vaccines which have been in shortage in the country since the last quarter.

The vaccines received included Measles vaccines, BCG vaccines and Oral Polio Vaccines.

A statement on the Ministry of Information’s Facebook page reads: “Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service receive first consignment of Measles vaccines, BCG vaccines and Oral Polio Vaccines. Distribution to various regions and facilities underway.”

The Ministry assured that more vaccines are expected in the coming weeks.
