Fix The Country Convenor-Oliver Barker-Vormawor Arrested.
The Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana police force has released a statement explaining the arrest of Fix the Country Convenor, Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor.
He was picked up by operatives from the National Security at the Kotoka International International Airport (KIA) on Friday February 11 as he arrived in Accra from the United Kingdom where he schools.
His friends and family say they have since been unable to reach him.
The police explain that he was arrested based on a post he made on social media allegedly threatening to stage a coup.
The activist also released a statement urging the government to arrest him after he claimed to have received warnings to the effect.
