Dr. Ato Forson Breaks Silence On Leadership Appointment
Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan-Assiam in the Central Region and now the leader of the Minority Caucus in Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has for the first time broken his silence on his new role.
The National Executives of the opposition NDC, as part of its restructuring exercise, has embarked on a major shake-up in the leadership of the party in parliament.
Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, will take over from Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as Minority Leader pending the endorsement of the Speaker. Deputy Minority leader role which was held by James Klutse Avedzi has been handed over to the Ellembelle MP, Emmanuel Kofi Armah Boah.
On the Whip and Deputy Whip roles, Kwame Agbodza becomes the Chief Whip for the opposition side and will be deputised by Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Ada legislator, Comfort Doyo Ghansah respectively.
Commenting on the reshuffle on his Facebook Page on Thursday morning, Dr. Ato Forson expressed his appreciation to the party for the appointment given him.
He added that following his appointment, he has held fruitful meetings with his predecessor and further thanked him for service.
He again pledged that he will represent the collective goals of the party with high integrity.
