“Don’t Compare My ‘One Corner’ To ‘Kweku The Traveller” – Patapaa Amisty
The ‘One Corner’ hit artiste, Patapaa Amisty has said that Black Sheriff’s ‘Kweku the Traveller’ is no match for his global hit song One Corner.
He stated in his speech that ‘Kweku the Traveller’ is but a social media track while ‘One Corner’ is a global hit thereby, being Ghana’s biggest worldwide hit.
“The challenge that ‘One Corner’ generated all over the world was staggering. For me, I consider Black Sherif’s ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ as a social media song and it doesn’t even come close to ‘Scopatumana.” Patapaa stated.
‘Kweku the Traveller’ like ‘One corner’ with the challenge that came with it has gained popularity on and off the internet here in Ghana and Nigeria, and has gone the extra mile of grasping the attention of big and famous artistes and celebrities across the world, while at the same time, becoming the first Ghanaian song to hit number one on the Top 100 Apple Music Charts in Nigeria.
the artiste who is set to release his next single Glass Nkoaa” coming May later added that, “I do agree that ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ is doing very well, but people shouldn’t compare it to my ‘One Corner’. People have to respect my ‘One Corner’ song because it placed Ghana on the world music map“.
