Davido features in 2022 World Cup official soundtrack

Nigerian musician Davido has featured on official 2022 FIFA World Cup soundtrack despite his country failing to qualify for the global showpiece.

The 29-year-old will perform at the World Cup draw on Friday, April 1 in Doha, Qatar.

He joins American R&B singer Aisha and social media personality Trinidad Cardona on the soundtrack.

The name of the track is titled Hayya Hayya (better together) which is set to debut on Friday, April 1, 2022.

With the announcement of the single and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Soundtrack, FIFA continues to build on the FIFA Sound strategy announced in early 2021 and to connect with audiences worldwide through the shared passions of football and music.

The combination of breakthrough US star Trinidad Cardona, Afrobeats icon Davido and Qatari sensation Aisha captures the spirit of the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Sound strategy by bringing together inspiration from across the globe.

Nigeria failed to reach a fourth successive outing at the World Cup finals after drawing 1-1 against Black Stars of Ghana in the reverse leg game.

The draw means Ghana have secured an historic 4th FIFA World Cup tournament having participated in 2006, 2010, and 2014 in Germany.

Hayya Hayya (Better Together), released by Def Jam Recordings and produced by RedOne, is streaming everywhere now.
