Chairman Wontumi Sues UTV And Five Others

Benard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, has sued the host of UTV’s United Showbiz, Nana Ama McBrown, Fadda Dickson, her panelists, and Afia Schwarzenegger who was a guest on the show.

The show last week, July 9th, 2022, had Afia Schwarzenegger, where they discussed Afia’s alleged sexual affair with the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman. This did not sit right with a lot of netizens who pointed out that the entire session was based on Afia and her alleged sexual brouhaha with the Regional Chairman.

Chairman Wontumi who obviously did not buy into the idea of this discussion sued the media house, Fadda Dickson, Nana Ama McBrown, Afia Schwarzenegger, A-Plus and Mr. Logic, on grounds of contempt.

The suit titled: ‘Motion on Notice for Committal for Contempt Order 50, C147,’ read in part: “PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that this Honourable Court will be moved by Counsel for and on behalf f the Applicant herein praying this Honourable Court for an order for Committal for Contempt and for any further or other orders as this Honourable Court may deem fit and upon the rounds set forth in the accompanying affidavit.”

The media house rendered an open apology to Chairman Wontumi in a letter signed by Fadda Dickson during their evening news the next day. However, Chairman Wontumi is still bent on taking them up by the law, as he has sued the listed people.

Speaking on Metro Tv, Chairman Wontumi said he did not want to talk about the matter as it is in court.

I don’t want to talk about it because the thing is in court and you are a student of law so you don’t need to talk about it,” he said.
