Bortianor church collapse: 6 persons discharged from hospital

Some six individuals who were hospitalized at the Bortianor Polyclinic after a church building collapsed on them have been discharged.

The 6 were part of 7 individuals who were in the premises of the Word in Action church at Old Bortianor in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region when it collapsed on Tuesday.

Speaking to MX24 news, one of the victims said, “we were in the building when we heard a crack in the windows, where we were plastering, one of us quickly asked us to go out and right before we exited the building started collapsing.”

The church in a statement said they are investigating the incident and assured of their commitment to the safety of their church members.

Meanwhile, one of the victims, who was referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital is still receiving treatment.
