The facility is expected to after completion, produce vaccines in Rwanda and Senegal with a fill-and finish collaboration with Ghana.

Rwandan President, Paul Kagame, also speaking at the ceremony, called the project “groundbreaking” and said his country worked very hard to attract biopharmaceutical researchers in the manufacturing sector. He also applauded Ghana government for its efforts in forging a strong partnership between both countries. Adding that, the facility will ensure end-to-end production of vaccines in Africa.
