Arise Ghana Begin A 2-Day Demonstration Today

Pressure Group, Arise Ghana is leading a two-day protest, starting today Tuesday, June 28,2022.

Dozens of protestors earlier today converged on Obra Spot for day one of the demonstration. The protest crowd will wrap up the protest by submitting a petition at the presidency.

The main drive of the protest is the current economic hardships in the country. Per the court ruling on monday, the protest should end by 4pm.

Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is urging officers deployed to provide security for the demonstrators to treat the protesters with respect and dignity.

 The IGP further noted that, two mobile police hospitals will be deployed to ensure optimum safety of demonstrators and officers.
