Aris Ghana Demo: Protestors Successfully Submit Petition To Parliament
Hundreds of protesters who were part of the Krom Ay3 Hye protest, organized by the Arise Ghana Movement a few hours ago submitted a petition to the Parliament making some demands.
The submission was a culmination of a two-day protest to register their displeasure with the increasing high cost of living, compounded with supposed poor economic management by the Akufo-Addo-led government. Leaders of both sides of the house received the petition on behalf of the Speaker of Parliament and the addressed the press after.
The first day Of the demonstration organized by pressure group, Arise Ghana Movement defied court orders to protest beyond 4pm and were unhappy about the police’s decision to restrict movement. This led to a misunderstanding between the police and the protestors, which eventually led to a clash. However, the second day went on smoothly and calmly.
