Black Stars Players Andre Ayew and Felix Afena-Gyan were recognised for their exemplary displays in the just-concluded seasons in Qatar and Italy respectively

The Ghana Internationals Andre Ayew and his compatriot Felix Afena-Gyan were among the players recognised for their exemplary displays in the just concluded seasons by winning Calcio Trade Ball 2022 awards.

Black Stars captain Ayew, was handed the Order of the Star Award, the biggest award of the night.

The 19-year-old, Afena-Gyan, who capped the just-concluded season after helping AS Roma win the Europa Conference League trophy after defeating Feyenoord 1-0 in the final, was also voted the Most Promising Player of the Year award.

General Manager of ArthurLegacy,   Kathleen Arthur reiterated the successes of the brand and how it carries with it the dreams of many families.

The Calcio Trade Ball

Started in 2016, it is held under the auspices of the Embassy of Italy in Ghana and ArthurLegacy. The event celebrates the contribution of Italy to the development of Ghana football and promotes Ghana-Italy cultural relations.

This year, as part of a series of events lined up for the Calcio Trade Ball, a Seminar and All-Star game featuring AC Milan star Franck Yannick Kessié were held.
