Alan Kyerematen’s Admission Of Current Economic Challenges Not Betrayal of NPP Government – Project 24

A youth group of NPP flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has come out to debunk claims that their preferred candidate’s admission of the current economic difficulties in the country is a betrayal of the current NPP government led by Akufo Addo.

The group by name Project 24 in a statement sighted by MX24, has described such arguments as mere propaganda which are baseless, inconsistent and unfounded.

Alan Kyerematen has come under fire since addressing a gathering of Chiefs and Elders at the Sehwi Wiawso Traditional Council during one of his campaign tours where he admitted that the country is currently in hard times which were mainly precipitated by external factors.

He also went ahead to add that “We have worked but because of the challenging times we are in, it is becoming difficult for us the NPP to craft a message for the 2024 elections.

However, Project 24 emphasized that it will be suicidal for the former Minister for Trade and Industry for this government in the past 6 years to condemn government since he himself diligently discharged his role without blemish.

“It must also be put on the record that Alan has been the most industrious trade minister this country has ever seen as evidenced with his role in the realization of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the establishment of over 290 factories across the country. This is simply epic,” portions of the statement read.

For them, it is rather shocking that Alan Kyerematen’s attempt to reiterate what the President and his Vice President have always mentioned has been taken out of context and being interpreted as the government of Akufo Addo failing.

The group has therefore asked supporters of Mr. Alan Kyerematen to reject the propaganda and rather focus on his long-standing reputation and competence of their candidate and support his bid to lead the NPP into the 2024 General Elections.
