About Ten Thousand Public Officers Have Failed To Declare Their Assets
The coalition for Democratic Accountability and Inclusive Governance has expressed worry about the disregard for the asset declaration law by some government officials.
According to the group, reports indicate that about ten thousand public officers have failed to comply with the asset declaration law, a situation they described as worrying. Speaking at a press conference in Accra earlier today, a member of the Coalition and the Executive Director of the West Africa Civil Society Institute, Nana Asantewaa Afadzinu called on the Auditor General to direct all public officer holders to comply with the constitutional requirement immediately.
The group is also demanding an audit into the disbursement of the Covid-19 fund.
This came as a following expression of the leaked Will of the former Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, which caused so much controversy.
