Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has named his final squad for the delayed 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which commences in Cameroon on January 9, 2022.

The 30-man provisional squad announced in December has been pruned to 28 with AS Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan and Clermont Foot midfielder Salis Abdul Samed missing out.

Ghana are currently in Doha, Qatar preparing for the tournament and will face Algeria in an international friendly on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Education City stadium in Doha.

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has been included in the final squad despite being spotted in the club’s entourage for their mid-season training camp in Portugal on Monday, amid concerns over his fitness following a rib injury.

The Black Stars will kick start the tournament against giants Morocco on Monday, January 10 before taking on Gabon and Comoros in the other Group C matches.

Milovan Rajevac is expected to lead Ghana’s charge for a fifth Africa Cup of Nations trophy, having guided the Black Stars to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola where they lost 1-0 to Egypt in the final.
